As Brayden's newly appointed defense attorney, Jax and the team dive in, gearing up for a preliminary hearing. Lewis and Jax come together to help Naima. Damon and Jax decide to be friends after she helps him with a problem.

Jax and the team focus on jury selection. When Jax's dad comes into town, Jax turns to Lewis for help, but finds relief from a new friend.

16 years earlier, we meet a bright-eyed Jax in her public defender days when she meets Damon for the first time.

Jax and Damon’s relationship goes to another level. But Jax is focused in on the start of Brayden’s trail as she senses Brayden may be withholding crucial information.

We follow Lewis as he juggles single parenthood and the separation. The prosecution rests on Brayden's case.

With Paul in the hospital, we flashback to teenage Jax and gain a deeper understanding of her past trauma and how it informs the present. The defense rests in Brayden’s case as Jax has a revelation about the case.

With the jury out to deliberate, Jax is kidnapped. She must figure out her future as a new case close to home comes to light.
